Liam Neeson is Martin Harris, a doctor and husband visiting Germany with his wife to delivery an important medical presentation, but he ends up in a car accident that leaves him in a coma for four days. After waking up he finds that his wife no longer recognizes him or know who he is, and that his entire identity has been replaced by another man.  With no ID or proof of who he is no one believes him.  Now Dr. Harris has to find a way to prove who he is and who has stolen his wife and identity.

This is an interesting thriller that has some very interesting plot twists and surprises.

Saw 3D

The 7th and final of the Saw series ends on a sour note that still leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. Beside the horrific acting and predictable plot this movie had potential. The potential to be mediocre.

If you spent a large chuck of your time watching the first 6 Saw movies you pretty much need to watch this last one just to get complete closure. Even still, closure or not the movie is disappointing compared to its predecessors.

Devil

M. Night Shyamalan writes this supernatural thriller about five people who are trapped in an elevator. Each person systematically gets killed during brief moments of darkness as the power flickers and turns off and on.

Devil is a decent thriller with plot twists that’ll keep you guessing till the end. These twists aren’t as powerful and shocking as The Sixth Sense or The Village, but it’s very much a solid and entertaining Shyamalan film that has been lacking from his last couple of movies.

Inception

DiCaprio plays Dom Cobb who is an “extractor”, one who enters a person’s dream to find hidden information and secrets. This time Cobb gets contracted for a job far different than what he normally does, called inception. Instead of finding information Cobb must plant an idea in the mind of a man who will be inheriting a corporation from his father. Where the idea would manifest itself to have the son believe that dissolving the corporation is what his father always wanted.

Inception is an intricate and complex film about espionage of the mind. The premise has been done a few times in the past but Inception nails it spot on twisting and bending the mind of its viewers. As a viewer you’ll have to pay close attention to every facet of the movie and using some of your imagination to understand complex concepts of dreams and how the mind works.
