My favorite movies for Halloween

When you hear the month October only one thing comes to mind and that’s Halloween.  When I was a little kid Halloween was a time for me to indulge in large amounts of candy that would spike my blood sugar to levels that would make Willy Wonka blush.  Those were great times. Now, the meaning of Halloween has taken a big turn to more of an adult oriented event where women and men dress up like Playboy bunnies and Hugh Heffners. Long are the pillowcase-filled candy and treats as our society now looks down upon consuming to0 much refined sugar and excess consumption of high calorie food.

But there’s one constant in Halloween to always be proud about and that’s the score of horror movies that gets released, re-released, rebooted, or remade. I love horror movies. Whether it’s about monsters, ghosts, demons, serial killers, aliens, or zombies they’re always fun to watch. It’s interesting seeing the human condition either suffer or survive something so horrific. It’s because those who survives are either the smartest ones or the bravest, unless it’s a Greek tragedy then all bets are off.

Below are some of my favorite horror movies. What’s yours?

The Exorcist
Dawn of the Dead (2004)
Night of the Living Dead (Romero’s classic and the 1991 remake)
Saw movies
The Mist
Sixth Sense
The Ring
The Others
Stir of Echoes
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original and remake)
The Thing

  • Every manufacturer and their mother are getting into the tablet foray. It looks like the iPad won’t be  alone any longer. Samsung and their Galaxy Tab will also be hitting state side soon as well.  So far the Blackberry Playbook has already exceeded my expectations, which wasn’t all that much to begin with as RIM is known to be very conservative with their Blackberry phones. That’s why I’m surprised by their hardware specs, and I’m very interested in their new QNX OS.  RIM will need this device to be impressive (and magical) if it wants to bite a chuck out of the iPad’s market share. Yay, for competition!

Givaway: Blackberry 9700 Invisible Shield by Zagg (Shield Full Body)

I have an Invisible Shield (full body) for the Blackberry 9700 to giveaway (Brand new in it’s retail package). So how does it work?  Just leave a comment on this post about what you like about your Blackberry.  I will pick a random comment and then contact the person for the shipping info and I’ll send it to them for free.  Sorry, I will not be shipping it to anyone outside of the US.  What if you don’t own a Blackberry 9700? Well, you can always sell it, give it away, or trade it in (if that’s possible).

So let’s get it started. What’s your favorite thing about your Blackberry smart phone?

    New stove

I put this sucker in myself. It was pretty easy to install. It’s a standard Whirlpool electric stove. Nothing fancy. The hardest part… Is getting Krista to use it 😀

    Just kidding babe.

    My New Fridge

The kitchen is almost done. Anyways, here’s my new Samsung fridge and it’s already to be filled with Diet Coke and Sriracha. Up next is a TV for the living room.
