Knight and Day

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz join up again, this time in a Romantic-Action movie. Cruise plays charming, funny, and well trained Jason Borne-style spy/assassin/Federal Agent who is being chased down by the government agency he works for and an international Black Arms dealer. Diaz is the unsuspecting girls that  gets caught up in the mix and is forced to tag along with Cruise in order to stay alive.

Cruise and Diaz are fun to watch and their chemistry plays out well on screen. Though a little over the top in some scenes this is a fun summer action flick you would expect from a Tom Cruise movie, but I must say that Knight and Day is not as polished as his previous films.

Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is a romantic comedy that takes its cues from other movies such as Love Actually and He’s Just Not That Into You. The movie goes over multiple couples’ relationship during Valentine’s day and the trials and tribulations of their love that they go through.  This movie banks on its star-studded cast rather than on an interesting or original story. It’s a mediocre romantic comedy that gets by on the familiarity of other popular romantic movies.

Couples Retreat

couplesretreat

This comedic romantic movie takes four couples to an exotic island were they work on saving their relationships. If you’re a fan of “Swingers” you’re be glad to hear that Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau have teamed up for some memorable dialogue. Couples Retreat is fun to watch but not the side stitching comedy you’d expect from a cast of notables.
