Twilight – Breaking Dawn Part 2

The last and final chapter in the Twilight film saga ends with Breaking Dawn part 2. I’ve never read any of the books and I only watched the movies to see what all the buzz was about. The first two movies were interesting and actually had a good plot, but the movies following it seems to have ditched a solid story line and actual acting.

Break Dawn part 2 unites many of the vampire friends and werewolves of the Cullen family to protect Bella and her new child from the Volturi (a powerful coven of vampires that enforces the laws in the vampire world), And in this vampire world having an immortal child is in violation of their laws. I think it’s ironic how the character played by Dakota Fanning looks barely older than Bella’s daughter.

Anyhow, like the previous movies Breaking Dawn part 2 is just as corny and filled with bad acting. Unless you’ve seen the previous 4 movies there shouldn’t be any reason to go out to catch this movie.

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

The Twilight series is a saga for the ages, more so for the teeny boppers and a few of my adult friends.  The overall story of the series is interesting but the bland acting is what sucks the life out of it (Yes, pun intended).  In short,  Breaking Dawn is about Bella and Edward getting married, having sex, and getting knocked up.

This movie is drawn out too long without adding any value to the story.  And what really got me confused is that even though Bella and Edward are married Edward still allows Bella to keep her boy-toy, Jacob, at arms length.  In fact, in one of the scenes from the movie Edward gives Bella a wedding gift. It turns out that the gift is Jacob. Jacob waits for Bella by the woods so he can give her a dance.  How ridiculous is that?  Anyhow, I must say this movie does tone down the corny acting a bit, and it is better than the previous one.

Twilight Saga: Eclipse

The vampire and werewolf phenomenon has gone into overdrive with millions of teenage girls clamoring over the newest film of the Twilight saga. I’ve seen the first two due to a morbid curiosity. They were almost decent movies if it wasn’t for the corny acting.

Eclipse starts where New Moon ends. Unlike the previous movie Jacob and Edward must team up to protect Bella against Victoria and her newfound army. That’s pretty much it. Add a few plot holes and few scenes with a shirtless Jacob and you have the entire third film.  I never read the books, but it’s definitely clear that a woman must have wrote it. You have a girl whose being fought over by two guys; one who looks like a heroine addict and the other looks like he’s been eating Cherrios laced with steroids. The girl plays on both of these guys and none of them seem to mind. This third film felt like it was rushed and the whole plot stank because of it and I think it’s the worst of the three films. Enough with the vampire movies. We need more zombie flicks.
