IT/System Administrator
As an IT/System Administrator I provide technical support for our end-users which consists of our head office staff and 12+ school campuses around the Bay Area. My IT responsibilities entails:
- Creating and managing a backup and deployment (disaster –recovery) solution for our end-users’ data.
-Perform email management and maintenance
-Engineered, implemented, and manage an Active Directory infrastructure for our schools.
-Implement and manange file servers for our users’ data.
-Create and manage GPO infrastructure to locked down end-user system and to secure our servers.
-Create and implemented remote access and VPN capabilities for our campuses to facilitate efficiency of our minimal IT staff.
-Deployed an internal messaging communication system based on XMPP with OpenFire for our head office staff and campus office administrators.

Network Operation Center Supervisor
After a year as a NOC technician that manages and monitored our customers’ servers and network as well as our own I was promoted to a supervisor role. As a supervisor I managed our team members, provide technical guidance, perform the day-to-day operation of the department, and provide performance auditing with weekly reports and monthly evaluations. I also trained new technicians on monitoring, remote accessing, documentation, level 1 and 2 troubleshooting, and the utilization of our RNT ticketing system. As part of the management team I help implemented processes and procedures that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the department. Throughout my supervising role position I also worked closely with our engineers to learn and help build and implement our customers’ infrastructure of their web servers, application servers, utility servers and DBs. OpSource is a SaaS provider and my position required me and my department to learn our customers’ software and application ranging from, but not limited to On-demand content distribution services, CRM products, email management systems, and communication services.

My role at Fry’s electronics was to manage incoming incidents in our system and appropriately assign them to the store-level technicians. I also provided in-house IT support for our corporate office end-users with computer and network issues. As the company added new stores I assisted in installing servers running on Novell with Windows OSes as its clients at the stores and offices. The IT/IS department also ran the Dial-up ISP service of the company were I provided customer support for our ISP users.
